Know your real Etsy profit.
Be ready for tax season.
Etsy tells you your sales. CraftMargin tells you what you actually keep —
per product, after materials and Etsy fees — and hands you a year-end
COGS summary when tax season hits. For $10/month, not $49.
Built for US-based Etsy sellers filing Schedule C. Paid plans are
currently offered to sellers with a US billing address.
Sound familiar?
Three things. Done properly.
Recipe-based product costs
Enter your materials once. Build product recipes. When a supply price changes, every product cost updates — automatically, not next April.
Fee-aware profit per product
Upload your Etsy order CSV. See profit per order and per product after the 6.5% transaction fee, payment processing, and listing renewals — calculated from Etsy's published rates, because Etsy's CSV does not break fees out per item. Know which products quietly lose money.
Tax-season COGS summary
Beginning inventory, purchases, ending inventory, COGS — the exact numbers Schedule C asks for, generated from data you entered all year without thinking about taxes once.

Demo assumptions: what do you really keep on one sale? Uses current 2026 US fees: 6.5% transaction + 3% + $0.25 processing, and assumes one $0.20 listing renewal per sale. Offsite Ads: 15% (12% for shops over $10k in the past 365 days), capped at $100 per order. Sellers outside the US pay different payment-processing rates, so these figures may not match their statements. Every fee explained, with three products worked out to the cent: what you actually keep on a $30 sale.
Was that number a surprise?
We are interviewing US Etsy sellers before we finish building this — 20 minutes, your real numbers, no pitch. Tell us what actually hurts and what you would pay for, and we will give you your first 3 months free if we end up talking.
We reply with a couple of times to choose from. No obligation, and you can say no once you hear the questions. See the privacy policy.

Fair questions
Why is this only $10 when everything else is $20–50?
Because we deliberately do less. The expensive tools maintain real-time API integrations with a dozen sales channels — that costs a team, and you pay for it. CraftMargin uses the order CSV you can already download from Etsy. One honest constraint, one honest price.
We wrote up the whole landscape here: Craftybase is now Stocksmith — what changed, and the cheaper alternatives. It says plainly when another tool is the better buy.
Is my sales data safe?
We never ask for your Etsy password and we don't import buyer names or addresses — the importer keeps totals, fees, and product lines, and discards personal buyer data. You can export or delete everything at any time.
Is this tax advice?
No. CraftMargin does the bookkeeping arithmetic — organized, consistent, export-ready. What you file is between you and your tax professional. We make their job (or your self-filing) dramatically easier.
If you want to understand what the form is asking for before you talk to anyone, we explained it here: cost of goods sold on Schedule C, for a handmade shop — including why your own hours are a real cost when you price a product but not a deductible one on the return.
I sell on Etsy but I am not in the US. Can I use this?
CraftMargin is currently built for sellers with a US billing address. The year-end summary follows Schedule C, and the fee maths uses US payment-processing assumptions. If you sell elsewhere, the figures may not match your Etsy statements.
Who is actually building this?
One independent developer, working from Japan, with no team and no investors. That is deliberately why the price is $10: there is no payroll to cover. It also means when you email, you reach the person who writes the code — not a ticket queue.
The honest flip side: CraftMargin is new. There are no customer testimonials on this page because there are no customers yet, and we are not going to invent any. The established tools have a decade of documentation and a support team; we have a narrower product, a lower price, and a 30-day no-questions refund on the first paid subscription.
What if I pay and change my mind?
Your first paid subscription payment is refundable in full within 30 days. Renewal payments are refundable within 7 days only if you have not materially used the service. If we never ship a working product, you can request a refund regardless of timing. The full wording is in the terms.
What if I sell on Shopify too?
Etsy first, done well. Multi-channel import is on the roadmap for a later Pro plan ($19). Founding members vote on priority. If you need multi-channel syncing today, our comparison of the alternatives points you to tools that already do it.
